Note Explosion is an original artwork by Timo Tetriz (2018) – a compact yet powerful piece that bridges music and abstract expression.
At the center, a black-and-white musical note bursts outward, surrounded by dots and splashes that radiate like sound waves. Around this focal point, layers of turquoise, violet, red, and orange unfold in vibrant chaos, creating the impression of an explosion frozen in time. The textured surface emphasizes both the violence and the beauty of rhythm released into color.
This work represents one of the earliest direct fusions of musical symbols with abstract painting in Tetriz’s practice, highlighting his exploration of how sound can become image.
