ACID LAYER

Acid Layer is an original artwork by Timo Tetriz (2022), diving deep into the roots of club culture. Inspired by the early symbols of the house and rave movement, the work features the iconic smiley – distorted, fractured, and embedded in multi-layered, psychedelic color fields.
The structure reflects the effects of LSD, which in the club scene was not only a drug but also a catalyst for music: enhancing perception, connection, and collective experience.
Acid Echo is both homage and commentary – a tribute to the origins of house culture, transformed into a raw abstract visual language that oscillates between rebellion and euphoria.
Included with the painting is an exclusive USB stick containing an unreleased track, composed and produced specifically for this piece. The track exists only in connection with this artwork – it is not streamable, not downloadable, and accessible solely through this USB.
